Since 1980, we have led the effort to preserve our neighborhood. We want to hear from you and continue protecting our community.

Our Mission

The Pemberwick Glenville Association is an association of neighborhood residents formed to protect, preserve and improve the Pemberwick Glenville area.  Our mission is to provide a voice for our community and to insure our best interests are served. We aim to be an integral part of topics and policies that enhance the lives of the people who call this wonderful place home.

PGA has helped accomplish over 20 of its community projects. They inspire everyone to care for the community.

What We've Achieved

  • Pemberwick Glenville Day 2018 raised funds to purchase new water fountains for both Pemberwick Park and Western Greenwich Civic center. We are working with the town on installation.

  • The “Party in the Park” has been a local institution bringing the community together for 13 years. Outgrowing our space, we moved to Glenville for our first “Valleyjam” celebration in 2018. With the success of the event, we will continue to host at the Western Greenwich Civic Center.

  • The PGA strongly supported the update of Pemberwick Park sidewalk and playground access projects. Collecting thousands of signatures by petition, attending town and budget meetings and working with officials to promote the need for improved accessibility to all. The project was completed in 2017.

  • PGA representatives have been closely involved with the town POCD (Plan of Conservation and Development) Engaging the public and working to bring residents to meetings and have their voices heard is our focus. Protecting the health, safety and quality of life for residents is our priority.

  • We have established grants for local students and contribute our profits directly to the community. Recent donations include Silver Shield, GEMs, Local Boy Scout troops, Abilis and the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Dept. All funds are put back into the community through service, events and donations to local charities.

  • Dedication of Pemberwick Park bleachers to Tim Tuffel at PGA day 2017. A local of Pemberwick and strong supporter of baseball in the area. Tim and his family attended the dedication.

  • PGA collaborates with local organizations to promote a sense of community. We work with the Glenville Fire Dept. during the holidays and host “Santa in the Park” at the Yontaro center each year.

  • Other community organizations include Greenwich Green and Clean, The Byram Library, Abilis, Sterling Care, GEMS, Boy Scouts, Please contact us if you would like to work together on a project or speak at one of our community meetings.
