Since 1980, we have led the effort to preserve our neighborhood. We want to hear from you and continue protecting our community.

Our Mission

The Pemberwick Glenville Association is an association of neighborhood residents formed to protect, preserve and improve the Pemberwick Glenville area.  Our mission is to provide a voice for our community and to insure our best interests are served. We aim to be an integral part of topics and policies that enhance the lives of the people who call this wonderful place home.

PGA has helped accomplish over 20 of its community projects. They inspire everyone to care for the community.

What We've Achieved

  • The PGA strongly supported the update of Pemberwick Park sidewalk and playground access projects. Collecting thousands of signatures by petition, attending town and budget meetings and working with officials to promote the need for improved accessibility to all. The project was completed in 2017.

  • PGA representatives have been closely involved with the town POCD (Plan of Conservation and Development). Engaging the public and working to bring residents to meetings and have their voices heard is our focus. Protecting the health, safety and quality of life for residents is our priority.

  • Pemberwick Glenville Association has arranged neighborhood clean ups along the riverbank and invasive vine removal in the Pemberwick meadow.

  • Pemberwick Glenville Day raises funds to invest in and beautify the community.

  • Neighborhood action teams are focused on specific inititiatives, such as traffic calming along busy roads.

  • The “Party in the Park” has been a local institution bringing the community together for 15 years. In 2018, we moved to the “Valley Jam” celebration the Western Greenwich Civic Center.

  • We have established grants for local students and contribute our profits directly to the community. Annual donations include Silver Shield, GEMs, Local Boy Scout troops, Abilis, and the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Dept. All funds are put back into the community through service, events and donations to local charities.

  • Dedication of Pemberwick Park bleachers to Tim Tuffel at PGA day 2017. A local of Pemberwick and strong supporter of baseball in the area. Tim and his family attended the dedication.

  • PGA collaborates with local organizations to promote a sense of community. We work with the Glenville Volunteer Fire Company during the holidays and host “Santa in the Park” at the Yontaro center each year.

  • Other community organizations include Greenwich Green and Clean, The Byram Shubert Library, Abilis, Sterling Care, GEMS, and Boy Scouts.

  • Please contact us if you would like to work together on a project or speak at one of our community meetings.
